Agreement for the Management of BiH Agricultural Sector to be Signed Today

The BiH Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry and the Agricultural-Food Faculty will sign today in Sarajevo an agreement for the construction of a medium-term strategy for the development of the FBiH agriculture sector for the period from 2014-2018.

The purpose of the strategy is, through a detailed analysis of the existing situation to define a strategic commitment and goals of the agricultural sector of the FBiH, in which the general orientation of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU (ZAP) will be taken into account. They will focus on the need for constant growth of competition, progress in improving the quality and security of food safety, and the protection of public health and the preservation of environmental quality.

The main tasks of the strategy are the analysis of the external and internal environment, definition of strategic objectives and action plans for individual goals, creation of a monitoring plan to assess the execution of the strategy and to suggest a budget proposal with sources of funding, announced the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry.
