The Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Adnan Delic, announced yesterday that on Friday, November 10th, at the end of the working day, the Public Call for the selection of households for the distribution of European Union (EU) aid to support Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in overcoming the energy crisis was closed.

According to the latest analysis done yesterday, 180.322 applications involving 356.642 people have been entered into the application made by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) BiH for the Ministry.

According to gender representation, out of the total number of registered household members, 203.443 are female, and 153.448 are male.

The municipalities that submitted the largest number of applications are Zenica 12.026, Novi Grad Sarajevo 10.739, Tuzla 7.702, Ilidza 6.631, Travnik 6.413, followed by Visoko, Mostar, Lukavac, Novo Sarajevo, Cazin and others.

“It is important to note that all 79 municipalities and cities participated in the realization of this public call and that in all municipalities applications are entered into the application every day. I want to congratulate the fastest ones for their sacrifice and effort to ensure that all of us together as soon as possible provide payment of funds to citizens, and I want to thank all municipalities and cities for accepting cooperation and excellent work in the past period,” Delic stated.

During this week, the municipality will enter backlogged applications into the application, after which data on the total number of applications submitted to the public call will be known.

“After that, we will have a temporary list that citizens will be able to access through the application and check the status of their application. During that period, households that are not on the list of successful applications will be given the opportunity to submit complaints in order to carry out additional checks before the final list is formed,” explained Delic and added that based on the final list, the Federation of BiH (FBiH) Government will make a decision on individual amounts per household and total funds that will be transferred to municipalities and cities.

After that, municipalities and cities will make payments to end users. The complete process should be completed by the end of the year, N1 reports.
