Albanian President Nishani visits Sarajevo

12784632_1732149017021775_1413725838_nPresident of Albania Bujar Nishani stated in Sarajevo that he hopes that citizens of BiH and Albania, will be able one day to visit each other without the need to use passports, i.e. only to use identity cards.

Chairman of BiH Presidency Dragan Covic said that the president of a country with which BiH wants to develop excellent relations in cultural, economic, and all other plans, visited our country. Covic introduced the President of Albania with the role of the tripartite Presidency of BiH and European integration of BiH.

“When it comes to foreign policy, we want to be in more than a good relations with our neighbors,” said Covic, adding that our country will try to resolve all of the issues by itself.

Bujar Nishani, President of the Republic of Albania, said that BiH and Albania have many common interests, and that the Euro-Atlantic integration is one of them.

“Our relations are very good and we have no open issues. I used the opportunity today to give a strong support for the sovereignty and integrity of BiH once again,” said Nishani. He emphasized that he got convinced in sincere friendly relations of BiH to Albania.

Nishani said that there are about 16 companies from BiH in Albania, which are involved in the development of industry and economy.

At the end, he congratulated BiH authorities on the progress in the process of implementing reforms and approaching the European Union. He also expressed desire for BiH to support Kosovo for the membership in the Adriatic Charter.

“That step will contribute to the stabilization in our region,” he concluded.
