The Sarajevo Canton Police was informed around 11:00 a.m. that there was a newborn baby left on a green area in Derviša Numića Street, Novo Sarajevo Municipality.
The team of the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance of the Canton of Sarajevo transported the child to the Pediatric Clinic of the University Hospital Sarajevo.
The on-duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed about everything, and he authorized police officers to conduct an investigation at the place where the newborn was found.
The police is working on documenting all the circumstances related to this event.
