Almir Kapic, the BiH Jiu Jitsu fighter, became the world champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the open division at the competition “Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2016”, which was held in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Also, Kapic was the Vice Champion of the world in the ultra-heavy weight division.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art in which the fight is mostly taking place on the ground in order to obtain a dominant position, with the use of levers on arms, shoulders, legs or neck compression.
This sport arose by modifying the Japanese Jiu Jitsu by the Gracie family.
