Ambasador Yıldız promised help to improve the conditions of Daily Centre

KS Minister of Labour, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees Muamer Bandić talked with the ambassador of Turkey in BiH Ahmet Yıldız about the problems of functioning of Daily Centre for Children who work on the streets of KS.

Bandić said to ambassador that with the end of the year 2012, the functioning of the Daily Centre has been jeopardized because the financing of this institution by local communities of KS and NGO Save the Children has ended.

”KS Ministry of Labour, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees will do everything to ensure the proper functioning of the Centre, but due to the fact that in the Sarajevo Canton the decision on temporary financing is in effective, the provision of specific assistance and plans related with the work of the Centre can be expected only after the adoption of the budget for 2013, explained the Minister Bandić.

He noted that every help to the Centre is welcome, and the priority is to secure money for food and clothes for children who stay in this centre every day.

Yıldız said that Embassy of Turkey is supporting such projects, and promised help that should ensure better conditions for the functioning of Daily Centre, and all with the aim to protect the children who live and work in the streets.

They also agreed that they’ll jointly visit the Daily Centre.
