The Ambassador of Turkey to BiH Ahmet Yildiz said that his country wishes to see BiH as a prosperous and stable country that is a part of Euro-Atlantic institutions. He wishes to see BiH with a very developed economy that invests in other countries, that has strong economic ties and a stable politic environment. If BiH prospers, then the entire region prospers, including Turkey.

Speaking about Turkish investments in BiH, Yildiz says that according to statistics from 2011, Turkey is among the top 10 countries that invest in BiH with an overall amount of foreign trade of 427 million dollars. There are plans for this to increase.

He noted that it is necessary to work more intensively on in the economic field, adding that it is necessary to do everything in order to encourage Turkish companies to invest in BiH. There are many business opportunities in BiH, but encouragement from BiH is necessary when complicated bureaucracy exists.

In an interview for FENA Agency the Turkish Ambassador, among other things, suggests that many Turkish companies are visiting BiH this year, and are especially focusing on the energy sector.

Some Turkish building companies have also entered the BiH market with huge projects.
