British Ambassador to BiH H.E. Julian Reilly and the Chief of Staff of the 6th Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brigadier Anto Klajić, visited the main training ground of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Manjača in order to monitor the implementation of part of the joint military training of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom, which is being implemented at this location.
During the tour of the “Manjača” training ground, a briefing was held by the joint training coordinator, during which the guests were introduced to the dynamics of this year’s joint training, which, in addition to training for peace support operations, includes advanced tactical planning and leadership development.
During the visit, the guests had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities and tasks of the units participating in the relevant training, which enables military personnel from both countries to exchange experiences and work with each other, developing interoperability and operational compatibility with NATO.
On this occasion, Ambassador Reilly expressed satisfaction with the implementation of another joint training.
“This joint training builds on the long-term cooperation in defense capability development between the UK and Bosnia and Herzegovina, through which military personnel and units across the country will be able to progress through training, mentoring and skills sharing. Trainings like this directly support Bosnia and Herzegovina’s ambitions to contribute to international peace support operations. Together, we can help Bosnia and Herzegovina achieve these ambitions,” Ambassador Reilly emphasized.
