Ambassador of the Republic of Austria H.E. Mrs. Urlike Hartmann visited the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), where she met with the Governor Jasmina Selimović, Ph.D., with whom she discussed economic trends in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting was also attended by the Senior Trade Advisor at the Embassy of Austria, Mrs. Martha Suda.

On this occasion, it was pointed out that Austria, through continuous investment projects in the last few years, has become one of the leading foreign investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the available data, out of the total investments in BH, at the end of 2022, the largest amount of direct investments refers to Austria, about KM 2.69 billion, which confirms this country’s role as one of the key economic partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and according to data on foreign investment flows, Austria invested KM 79.8 million during the three quarters of 2023.

For many years, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has had a successful and fruitful cooperation with the Austrian National Bank, which was one of the central banks of the Eurosystem engaged in projects implemented by the European Central Bank in the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Hartman supported the work of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and wished Governor Selimović success in her future work.
