Ambassador of Japan attends the Handover Ceremony for the ‘’Project for the provision of Judo equipment’’

On the 2nd of July 2024, Ambassador KINEFUCHI attended the handover ceremony of Judo equipment for the Judo club ‘’Student’’

Ambassador KINEFUCHI pointed out that he hopes that this donation will be of great importance for the members of the Judo club Student, as well as the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, and that it will contribute to the further popularization of Japanese martial arts in BiH and that an even greater number of people will start to train judo. He also pointed out that this donation represents the continuation of good bilateral relations between Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through the ‘’Project for the provision of Judo equipment” Japan granted 20,584 Euro (approx. 40,260 BAM) to equip the Judo club ‘’Student’’ with judo equimpment. More than 660 people are expected to benefit from this donation annualy.

President of the judo club “Student”, Rasim Lakota, took the opportunity to thank the people of Japan for this donation and pointed out that this donation will contribute to the popularization of judo in Bosnia and Herzegovina and provide the athletes with excellent conditions for training, which will thus have better conditions for winning medals for various competitions.

Amel Mekić, coach at the Student club and professor at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education at UNSA, told the members of the club to believe in their dreams on the way to achieving success and winning medals.
