Member of BiH Presidency met with NATO Quint Ambassadors

Member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, after a meaningful meeting with the Secretary General of NATO, held a working meeting in Brussels with the NATO Quint ambassadors (the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of France, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Italy) and the ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway.

Thanks to the concrete and continuous support of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bećirović told the ambassadors, among other things, that the adopted laws, especially the Law on the Defense of BiH, as well as the agreed decisions oblige all authorities in the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina to work towards integration into NATO.

It was stated that full membership in NATO is in the interest of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also in the interest of the Alliance.

Bećirović warned that Bosnia and Herzegovina, which belongs to the free and democratic world, is a target of dangerous Russian policy.

He said that the award presented by the president of the Bosnia and Herzegovina entity RS to Russian President Vladimir Putin represents an unprecedented civilizational shame, assessing that it is not a mirror of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina but another indicator of the destructive policy of the president of the entity RS. The democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina completely disassociates itself from Dodik’s policy and expresses solidarity with the righteous struggle of the Ukrainian people for freedom.

Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović expressed his commitment to active cooperation with NATO, but also with allies on a bilateral basis to strengthen the operational defense capability of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the other hand, it was pointed out that the new Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina had several positive moves that show that positive results are possible.

Denis Bećirović especially thanked Norwegian Ambassador Anita Nergaard and the Kingdom of Norway for accepting the role of host of the meeting in Brussels, announced the Press Service of the BiH Presidency.
