Great Britain’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Julian Reilly, commented on the hearing of former and current associates of the Srebrenica Memorial Center.
Ambassador Reilly said that the embassy of this country is monitoring this situation.
“We expect all actions of competent authorities to be in accordance with the rule of law, fair procedure and respect for basic rights. We encourage the authorities to ensure timely, transparent and accurate public communication in matters of significant public interest,” he stated in the message.
They also added that the Srebrenica Memorial Center has a key role in preserving the memory of the victims of genocide, providing support to survivors, fighting genocide denial and educating future generations.
“The UK has been a long-standing supporter of the Center and will continue to support its important work and the principles of truth, memory, justice and reconciliation on which it is based,” Reilly said.
