Ambassador Sorensen Will Attend Ceremony Tomorrow on Restoration of City Hall in Novi Grad

PETER SORENSEN IThe Head of the EU Delegation and Special Representative of the EU to BiH Ambassador Peter Sorensen will attend the ceremony tomorrow that is organized on the occasion of the completion of works on the reconstruction of city hall in Novi Grad.

Since 2008, the EU has allocated 13 million euros from the IPA and PHARE programs for the reconstruction and restoration of the cultural heritage of BiH.

One million euros has been allocated for the reconstruction of city hall in Novi Grad.

The EU also supports works on the reconstruction on city halls in Sarajevo, Kastela in Banja Luka and Stari Grad Vidoški in Stolac.

Ambassador Sorensen said earlier that these buildings and objects are of great significance, not only for BiH and the region, but as part of a wider European history.

In addition to Ambassador Sorensen, the BIH Minister of Civil Affairs Sredoje Nović, Prime Minister of the RS Željka Cvijanović and the Mayor of Novi Grad Snježana Railić will attend the ceremony, announced the EU Delegation to BiH.
