An Agreement on the Regular Air Traffic between Switzerland and B&H signed

contractMinister of Communications and Transport in the name of the Council of Ministers of B&H, Slavko Matanovic and ambassador of Switzerland in B&H, Heinrich Maurer, in the name of the Swiss Federal Council, signed yesterday in Sarajevo an Agreement on the regular air traffic between Switzerland and B&H.

This agreement is a result of the successfully finished negotiations between two countries and it comprehensively regulates interstate relations of the air traffic. Agreement enables airlines of both countries to establish direct flights between Switzerland and B&H, ensuring them approach to the new markets in accordance with regulations for the performance of air traffic. By concluding this agreement, a legal framework that meets current but the future needs of the civilian aviation as well, was created.

The Swiss International airline SWISS operates directly from Sarajevo to Zurich and Geneva from April 2015. From October, SWISS will fly three times a week from Sarajevo to Zurich and once a week to Geneva. The airline WIZZ Air also established direct flights between Switzerland and B&H, at the relation Tuzla-Basel, which are being performed twice a week.
