The body of an American citizen was found in a ravine on Mount Maglić, while another person, also an American citizen, was found alive and well, the Foča Police Department announced.

Members of that police department, along with members of the “Wolf” Mountain Rescue Service, participated yesterday in the recovery of the body of a fatally injured person who fell into a ravine while hiking in inaccessible terrain on Maglić.

The Foča Police Department was notified at 3:55 p.m. that two people were lost on that mountain, and that one fell into the ravine while climbing.

Members of the “Wolf” rescue service immediately joined the search, and after searching the terrain in a ravine at 9:40 p.m., found the body of one person, while the other was found alive and well.

The police conducted an on-site investigation under the supervision of the Chief Prosecutor of the Trebinje District Prosecutor’s Office, and further work is underway to document the case.
