An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale hit the area near Zenica today at 12:19 p.m.

According to information published by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the epicenter of the earthquake was 17 kilometers north of Zenica, at a depth of 9 kilometers.

Residents of Zenica and the surrounding settlements felt the shaking of the ground, but so far there are no reports of material damage or injuries.

Zenica is located in a seismologically active area, so earthquakes like this are relatively common.

Experts remind that it is important to be prepared and know how to act during and after an earthquake.

More information about the earthquake and possible consequences will be available in the coming hours.
