An indictment was filed for a War Crime in the Derventa Area

The prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes filed an indictment against Andrija Bjelosevic, who is accused of having committed a war crime against the civilian population in the Derventa area.

The accused is accused of having acted contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Conventions on the Protection of Civilians in Time of War, whose provisions protect women against any attack on their honor and dignity, especially from rape and sexual abuse.

He is accused of having, on several occasions during 1992 and 1993, come armed to a catering establishment in the Derventa area, where there were several detained women doing forced labor, and on at least four occasions, under the threat of force and coercion, he committed rape and sexual abuse of a woman of Bosniak nationality, which caused serious physical and mental injuries to the said victim and the consequences, which caused permanent damage to the victim’s health.

The prosecution will prove the allegations of the indictment by presenting 10 witnesses and expert witnesses, four of whom are under protective measures, in order to protect the dignity and dignity of the victims in this case, and by submitting around 30 pieces of evidence.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed this indictment.
