As it was found out, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) will soon file an indictment against Armin Berberovic, who while driving a car in Sarajevo ran over and killed 25-year-old Azra Spahic and 26-year-old Alma Suljic.

Prosecutors will request an extension of the police detention, which expires on November 24th, because of the danger that his release could cause public unrest.

At the end of May of this year, Berberovic hit 25-year-old Azra Spahic and 26-year-old Alma Suljic, who were doctors, with a car on the main city road, in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Marijin Dvor.

Spahic died at the scene of the accident, while Suljic died at the end of June in the hospital. The accident happened when they were crossing the pedestrian crossing.

After the accident, the presence of alcohol in his system was determined, and he did not have a driver’s license, Klix.ba reports.
