Analysis: Export and Import in 11 Months 2018

Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in 11 months this year amounted to 10 billion and 972 million BAM, which is by 8.3 percent more than in the same period of 2017, BiznisInfo writes on the basis of data from the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

At the same time, imports amounted to 17 billion and 743 million BAM, which is by 6.3% more than in the same period last year. The coverage of exports with imports was 61.8%, while the foreign trade deficit amounted to 6 billion and 770 million BAM.

For 11 months, BiH exported mostly to Germany, Croatia, Italy, Serbia and Slovenia.

On the other side, BiH mostly imported from Germany, Italy, Serbia, Croatia and China.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion and 776 million BAM, which is by 9.3% more than in the same period of 2017, while imports amounted to 2 billion and 136 million BAM, recording an increase of 1.2%. 

Exports to EU countries amounted to 8 billion and 71 million BAM, which is 11.1% more than in the first 11 months of 2017, while imports amounted to 10 billion and 709 million BAM, which is 5.7% more than in the same period last year. Coverage of export with imports was 75.4%.
