Analysis: Highest Salary in B&H is 7.400 BAM and Lowest is 340 BAM

posaoAccording to the analysis of the employment market portal posao.ba, in 2013, among the ten most sought after jobs in the last few years were: business administrator, programmer, salesperson, administrative employee, credit manager, loan officer, accountant, waiter, graphic designer and pharmacist. The results were presented in Sarajevo today.

Last year, more than 9.000 jobs were posted on this portal, while the number of open vacancies amounted to 21.978.

It is estimated that through this portal around 18.681 people found jobs.

According to Samra Mujanović from the department for projects of portal posao.ba, in 2013 employers most often sought work experience, university graduates and employees for full-time employment (44,59 percent). Most of the job offers were in larger cities in B&H. The most amount were in the capital city, Sarajevo.

The total number of job ads in the past year increased by 11 percent in comparison to 2012, while the list of the most sought after professions remained virtually unchanged, said marketing manager Edina Šehović.

The occupations in sales and IT sector dominated the jobs ads last year. People who  were looking for jobs most often applied for jobs in the categories such as sales, administrative services, transport, warehousing and logistics, economics, finance and accounting, as well as management.

In the published positions, 55.710 people applied, and employers received 113.092 job applications through the portal posao.ba. On average, 45 candidates applied for one job.

Mujanović said that the highest salary of the ten occupations that were listed were the salaries of directors, with a maximum of 7.400 BAM and programmers with 2.700 BAM. The least paid, which is found among the ten most sought after professions was salesperson, with a minimum salary of 340 BAM and 350 BAM for waiter/waitress.

In a shortage of job categories, for which the offer of jobs was higher than demand last year, was IT software, health care and vocational services.

The jobs for which there was more demand than supply was police, security services, tourism, and production and architectural offers.

Portal posao.ba is the leading online service for employment in B&H. With a share of higher than 90 percent in advertising jobs and with more than half a million visitors a month, posao.ba represents the central place of the competitive labor market and the main recruitment channel for most of the major companies in B&H.
