Analysis: Are there Mycotoxins in BH Milk?

The first results of an analysis of milk regarding any possible presence of mycotoxins as a result of the drought showed that there was no presence of this substance, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Waters of the Republika Srpska, one of the two entities.

Citizens will be regularly informed about the results of further analysis that the Ministry conducts.

Mycotoxins are extracellular metabolites, which are toxic or have other negative biological effects on people and animals.

They pollute wheat and other such products, especially in tropical parts since the higher temperatures and humidity fasten their development.

People are most often exposed to mycotoxins through food; however, people can also inhale them but rarely.
