Analysis of the Average Net Salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) published new data on the amount of average salaries.

Namely, the average net salary in June 2025 amounted to 1.570 BAM, which is 4 BAM, or 0.25 percent less compared to the previous month. For comparison, the average net salary in June last year amounted to 1.374 BAM, which is 14.26 percent less compared to the same month this year. The average net salary in June 2015 amounted to 834 BAM, which is 46.87 percent less compared to the same month this year.

The average gross salary in June 2025 amounted to 2.435 BAM, which is 6 BAM, or 0.24 percent less compared to the previous month. For comparison, the average gross salary in June 2024 amounted to 2.128 BAM, which is 0.28 percent less compared to the same month this year. The average gross salary in June 2015 amounted to 1.295 BAM, which is 46.81 percent less compared to the same month this year.

Workers in the sector of computer programming and consulting have the highest average net and gross salary.

The average net salary in this sector in June 2025 amounted to 2.755 BAM, which is 82 BAM, or 2.97 percent less compared to the previous month. For comparison, the average net salary in this sector in June 2024 amounted to 2.574 BAM, which is 7.03 percent less compared to the same month this year.

The average gross salary in the sector of computer programming and consulting in June 2025 amounted to 4.306 BAM, which is 105 BAM, or 2.38 percent less compared to the previous month. For comparison, the average gross salary in this sector in June 2024 amounted to 4.036 BAM, which is 6.69 percent less compared to the same month this year.

Workers in the clothing manufacturing sector have the lowest average net and gross salary.

The average net salary in this sector in June 2025 amounted to 1.064 BAM, which is 11 BAM, or 1.04 percent more compared to the previous month. For comparison, the average net salary in this sector in June 2024 amounted to 847 BAM, which is 20.60 percent less compared to the same month this year.

The average gross salary in the clothing manufacturing sector in June 2025 amounted to 1.373 BAM, which is 19 BAM, or 1.38 percent more compared to the previous month. For comparison, the average gross salary in this sector in June 2024 amounted to 1.097 BAM, which is 25.16 percent less compared to the same month this year.
