Analysis: Revenues from Indirect Taxes record Decrease in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Revenues from indirect taxes in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past six months amounted to three billion and 442 million BAM and are lower by 369 million BAM or 9.6 percent compared to the same period in 2019, when they were three billion and 811 million BAM, is confirmed is from the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH.

After the ITA refunded VAT to taxpayers who were entitled to a refund in the amount of 632 million BAM, the net revenues collected that went to distribution to users in the first six months of 2020, namely the state, entities and Brko District, they amounted to two billion and 810 million BAM and are lower by 254 million BAM in relation to the revenues that users received from the Single Account in the same period last year.

In June 2020 alone, 562 million BAM of indirect taxes were collected, which is 44 million BAM less than in June 2019.

The amount of 368 million BAM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the first six months of 2020.

Based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of BiH received an additional 94.8 million BAN, the Republika Srpska 62.6 million BAM and the Brcko District 3.2 million BAM.

The difference represents a reserve on a special toll account in the amount of 0.25 BAM.
