Analysis: The Average Net Salary in the Federation of BiH

The average monthly net salary paid per employee for July 2025 in the Federation of BiH amounted to 1,628 KM and is nominally higher by 3.2 percent, and in real terms by 3.0 percent, compared to the previous month. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the average net salary paid per employee for July 2025 is nominally higher by 17.4 percent, and in real terms by 12.3 percent.

In July compared to June 2025, the largest increase in the average monthly net salary paid was recorded in the health and social protection sector by 14.2 percent, production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 9.4 percent, and financial and insurance activities by 5.0 percent, according to data from the Federal Institute of Statistics.

At the same time, the highest decrease in the average monthly net salary was recorded in the education sector by 1.4 percent, administrative and support service activities by 0.8 percent and real estate activities by 0.1 percent.

The average monthly gross salary paid per employee for July 2025 in the Federation of BiH amounted to 2,540 KM and is nominally higher by 3.3 percent, and in real terms higher by 3.1 percent compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the average gross salary per employee for July 2025 is nominally higher by 17.4 percent, and in real terms higher by 12.4 percent.
