Analysis: Total deposits of domestic sectors in BiH

Total deposits of domestic sectors in BiH at the end of January amounted to 31.25 billion BAM and are higher by 135.7 million BAM or 0.4 percent compared to December last year, according to data from the Central Bank of BiH.

The growth of deposits on a monthly level was registered in the household sector by 58.4 million BAM or 0.4 percent, and in private companies by 148.4 million BAM or 2.1 percent.

In the case of non-financial public companies, the growth of deposits was 70.1 million BAM or 3.7 percent, and in other domestic sectors 13.2 million BAM or 0.7 percent, while deposits in government institutions decreased by 154.4 million BAM. or 3.6 percent.

The annual growth rate of total deposits in January was 7.6 percent, in absolute terms 2.2 billion BAM.

Growth was registered in the population sector by 1.47 billion BAM or 10 percent, private companies by 901.1 million BAsm or 14.3 percent, and by non-financial public companies by three million BAM or 0.2 percent.

With government institutions, deposits at the annual level decreased by 119.5 million BAsm or 2.8 percent, and with other domestic sectors by 49.7 million BAM or 2.7 percent.
