Thermal Power Plants in Bosnia produce 72 Percent of Electricity

Gross electricity production in Bosnia and Herzegovina in September amounted to 1,152 gigawatt-hours, which is 8.72% less than in the same month last year, and 12.73% less than in August.

In the total gross production, hydro power plants participated with 26.3%, thermal power plants with 71.9%, and solar and wind power plants with 1.8%, according to the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

Gross production of hydropower plants in September amounted to 303 gigawatt-hours, which is less by 8.46% compared to the same month last year, and higher by 21.2% compared to August.

When it comes to the gross production of thermal power plants in September, it amounted to 829 gigawatt-hours, which is 8.6% less than in the same month last year, and 20.83% less than in August.

Gross production of solar and wind power in the ninth month amounted to 20 gigawatt-hours, which is less by 16.67% compared to September last year, and less by 13.05% compared to production in August, Biznis Info writes.
