Last week, visitors of the Cinema City had the opportunity to watch ”Django Unchained”, and this week they’ll have the opportunity to watch ”Anna Karenina” which is an epic love story.

Anna Karenina is a 2012 British drama film directed by Joe Wright and adapted by Tom Stoppard from Leo Tolstoy’s 1877 novel of the same name. The film depicts the tragedy of married aristocrat and socialite Anna Karenina and her affair with the affluent Count Vronsky. Keira Knightley stars in the lead role as Karenina, marking her third collaboration with Wright, while Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson appear as Alexei Karenin and Vronsky, respectively. Produced by Working Title Films in association with StudioCanal, the film premiered at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival.

Presale tickets for the film “Anna Karenina” started on 17 January in Cinema City.

Silver Linings Playbook is an American romantic comedy-drama film directed by David O. Russell,[5] from a screenplay by Russell, adapted from the novel of the same name by Matthew Quick. The film stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, with Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver, Chris Tucker, Anupam Kher and Julia Stiles in supporting roles.

Silver Linings Playbook premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2012 and was released in the United States on November 16, 2012.[6] The film opened to major critical success and earned numerous accolades. It received eight Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director for Russell, in addition to achieving the rare feat of being nominated in all four acting categories, the first time since Reds in 1981.

The film talks about Pat Solitano who has lost everything — his house, his job, and his wife. He now finds himself living back with his mother and father after spending eight months in a state institution on a plea bargain. Pat is determined to rebuild his life, remain positive and reunite with his wife, despite the challenging circumstances of their separation. All Pat’s parents want is for him to get back on his feet – and to share their family’s obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles football team. When Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own, things get complicated. Tiffany offers to help Pat reconnect with his wife, but only if he’ll do something very important for her in return. As their deal plays out, an unexpected bond begins to form between them, and silver linings appear in both of their lives.

Presale of tickets for this film started on 22 January in Cinema City.
