Anniversary of the Killing of Six Sarajevo Civilians Marked

commemoration1The 22nd anniversary of the killing of the citizens of Sarajevo, six civilians, including two children was marked today at Trg Heroja in the Sarajevo municipality of Novo Sarajevo.

Flowers were laid at the place of the massacre by representatives of the Association of Parents of murdered children of the besieged Sarajevo 1992 to 1995, representatives of Novo Sarajevo Municipality and the City Administration, as well as citizens and friends.

On August 25, 1992, children Mirela Hožbo, who was five years old and Mirza Hožbo who was three, were killed, together with Abid, Alma and Kimeta Rondić and Jelena Vasko.

The memorial plaque to commemorate this war crime was built in 2011.
