tigarUntil recently, there was only one zoo in BiH – the one in Sarajevo. However, the animal kingdom recently arrived to Tuzla as well.

Without classic cages with metal bars, animals move freely in space, so that their life would be as similar to the life in nature as possible.

Three generations of family Mešić from Gradačac decided to spend their day with these animals in the Tuzla zoo.

“This is a great place to come with your family, to spend a weekend at. There is a solid diversity of animals that can be seen,” said Mirnes Mešić, a visitor.

More than 300 animals have complete veterinary care and a specific diet.

Bears eat fruit so that they would not be aggressive, while wolves, jaguar and tiger are carnivores. The tiger eats nine kilograms of meat every day.
