Another Cevap from BiH is protected as a Brand

After the Sarajevo cevap recently became a “protected” product, some others followed the same path.

Namely, the Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) issued a decision on the entry of “Banja Luka cevap” into the Register of guaranteed traditional specialties of food products.

The decision was made at the request of the Association for the Preservation of the Guaranteed Tradition of the “Banja Lukacevap” specialty.

This specifically means that each individual producer of products with the name Banja Luka cevap, that is, the user of the label, as well as each participant in the chain of production, processing and distribution, will carry out the procedure of confirming compliance with the product specification at the authorized body for assessing compliance.

Namely, at the beginning of the year, the aforementioned association submitted a request for a guaranteed traditional specialty for the food product “Banja Luka cevap”.

The Committee for the Registration of Marks of Origin considered the request and assessed that it was founded, and there were no appeals.
