This is one of the companies that responded to the call for subsidies for new routes.

The airline SunExpress officially began flights on the Antalya-Sarajevo route two days ago.

Flights between the two cities will be operated every Thursday and Sunday from Sarajevo to Antalya by this airline’s regular route.

Starting from April 21st, this company will also introduce flights from Sarajevo to another Turkish city – Izmir.

This is the first time this company is launching flights from Sarajevo. It is one of the companies that responded to the call for subsidies for new routes from the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Tourist Board.

Namely, SunExpress is a Turkish-German airline based in Antalya. SunExpress was founded in October 1989 as a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa.

They operate scheduled and charter passenger flights to 90 destinations in 30 European countries, as well as North Africa, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, and the Red Sea.

They focus on international tourism, domestic Turkish flights to cities in Anatolia, and charter flights with crew. The total number of employees at SunExpress is 5.000, Biznis Info reports.
