Association “HerzegovinaBike” in cooperation with the Mostar Bicycle Club, the Bicycle Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Visit Blidinje association, once again organizes the largest bicycle festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina – the Blidinje BIKE Festival, which will take place from July 19 to 21 in the Blidinje Nature Park.

According to the organizers, it is precisely this cooperation and the joint work of various associations and institutions that contribute to the organization of high-quality events, which is why the festival has received the highest marks for the fifth year in a row.

This three-day event, in addition to the MTB marathon, will also include numerous other outdoor activities, there are events for the whole family, and there will be no shortage of good entertainment in the late hours, because Saturday is also planned for a night party this year, the organizers announced.

“We are expecting more than 20 countries of the world and at the same time, we see this as an excellent opportunity to promote the Blidinje Nature Park as an excellent destination for outdoor activities at the door of Europe,” said Marija Vukoja Lastvić, in front of Visit Blidinje.

It should also be added that registration opens today, and the three days of events in the Blidinje Nature Park are focused on mountain biking, recreation, educational workshops and entertainment.

The arrival of thousands of visitors is expected, and the highlight of the event will be the MTB marathon UCI C1 XCM Herzegovina and the XCM Balkan Championship, where professional cyclists from 20 countries will compete.

“For the first time at the Blidinje Bike Festival, take part in the exciting XCM Herzegovina race – which this year carries the UCI Class 1 rank and includes the Balkan Championship race – and immerse yourself in the pure Herzegovinian atmosphere and real natural beauty. We are preparing for approximately 200 participants ready to choose your challenge. Pedal between the Vran and Čvrsnica mountains, past the peaceful Blidinje lake and picturesque rural settlements. And here’s the sugar on top of this race: don’t forget the usual breaks at the feed zones! At several places on the course, a gourmet stand with refreshments awaits you. Enjoy. in our shared passion for cycling,” reads the organizer’s invitation.

The program begins on Friday with the opening of the race office, when national representatives, teams and participants can collect their starting numbers, check in to the accommodation and start exploring and getting to know the Blidinje Nature Park. A gala dinner for sponsors and friends of the project will follow, as well as a presentation of the project to all participants of the gala dinner.

Saturday traditionally gathers recreational cyclists around the “Ajduka Trail” bike ride, including the youngest participants of this event, i.e. whole families who enjoy the well-organized program during the weekend in the Blidinje Nature Park.

Sunday was marked by the professional MTB race UCI C1 XCM Herzegovina and the Balkan Championship, and there is also the race “XCM Herzegovina,” which is run on a shorter track and is again scored for the Premier League of BiH.
