The best athlete from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Amel Tuka, won yesterday in the 800 meter race at the indoor meeting in Dortmund.

Tuka crossed the finish line with a time of 1.47.02, which is also the fastest time he ran this season. With this result, Tuka also improved the meeting record by 5 hundredths.

Our athlete announced before the race that his goal was to run under 1:48, which he achieved in Dortmund.

His personal record for 800m indoors is 1:45.95 (Madrid, 2021).

The norm for the European Indoor Championships in Istanbul, which will be held from March 2nd to March 5th, is 1:46.75.

To recall, at the beginning of the month, Tuka won second place at the Czech Indoor Gala meeting in Ostrava in the 800 meter race, and confirmed his good form at the start of the new athletics season.
