On Saturday, June 4, the Alpine Society Željezničar will organize the trail running race Vučko Trail 2016 on the mountains Bjelašnica and Visočica, above Sarajevo.
Vučko Trail 2016 includes two trails: “Trail of the Dragon from Umoljani” in the length of around 50 kilometers and 2.400 meters of climb and the “Olympic Trail”, around 15 kilometers long with 1.100 meters of climb. Start and end line for both trails will be on Babin Do, in front of the hotel Bjelašnica.
The first, longer trail, passes through the villages Umoljani and Lukomir, then the Studeni creek, then it intersects the Rakitnica canyon and offers a number of attractive locations for the runners. “Olympic Trail”, the shorter, but not less attractive trail, will lead the runners over the house Bijele Vode to the Observatory on top of Bječašnica.
“This is the second time that our society organizes one such competition and it makes us very happy. Previous experience and tradition are a guarantee of good organization and we are looking forward to a large number of competitors from BiH and the region, who announced or confirmed their participation in the race,” stated the AS Željezničar.

The organizers note that 10 BAM of every paid participation fee will be donated for The Rolling Drifter project of Dado Delić, a member of this society and winner of the first Vučko Trail, who is currently riding a bike somewhere between Tajikistan and Japan.
