The Joint Collegium of both Houses of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Parliamentary Assembly on Wednesday should set out a proposal by members of the joint commissions and standing delegations of BiH’s Parliament, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

The appointment of members of six joint committees and nine permanent delegations to international organizations in which the BiH Parliamentary Assembly participates will complete the constitution of all parliamentary bodies in this convocation, although the general elections were held in October 2018.

The Joint Committees of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly are the Defense and Security Commission, the Intelligence and Security Agency, the Economic Reform and Development Commission, the European Integration Commission, the Administrative Affairs Commission, and the Human Rights Commission. Parliament has its permanent delegations to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, the OSCE, the Interparliamentary Union, and the Central European Initiative, NATO, the Mediterranean, the Southeast European Co-operation Process, the Union for the Mediterranean and the Francophone Speech Parliamentary Assembly.

The Joint Collegium should also establish a proposal for a decision on the establishment of an interim joint committee of both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly to conduct the procedure for appointing members of the Independent Committee and the Citizens’ Complaints Committee as independent bodies of the BiH police structure, and a proposal for a decision on the appointment of members of the Selection and Monitoring Commission of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination against Corruption.

The agenda also includes the appointment of a number of joint committees to carry out procedures for the appointment of the Director of the Personal Data Protection Agency in BiH, members of the Complaints Review Commission and the Auditor General at the Office of Audit of the Institutions of BiH.

Members of the Joint Collegium should also nominate a representative of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly to the Working Group for Monitoring the Status and Activities regarding the Possible Construction of a Nuclear Waste Landfill on the Trgovska Gora.
