Area around Banja Luka hit by an Earthquake

The area of Banja Luka, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was hit by an earthquake this morning at 9.55 am. According to the EMSC, the epicentre of the earthquake was eight kilometres northeast of Banja Luka, and it was 2.3 degrees on the Richter scale. Residents of Banja Luka stated on social media that they felt the ground shaking, according to Radio Sarajevo news portal.

No major damage to the facilities was recorded. At least not until this text is written. A similar earthquake hit the area of Banja Luka last month, more precisely on April 13. At that time, the earthquake, according to the precise devices of the EMSC, was 2.7 degrees.
