Armed Forces of BiH hold Search and Rescue Exercise

The search and rescue exercise “Pljesevica 22″ is a regular training event of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH), which is conducted once a year with the aim of training the command and units of the Air Force Brigade and Air Defense of BiH.

The exercise was conducted together with the 6th infantry brigade of the AFBiH, and civil associations that participate in search and rescue operations “SOS” Bihac and “Condor” Sanski Most.

During the exercise, the Gazelle helicopter of the Air Force and Air Defense brigades was used, which carried out aerial observation, transport, and repelling. While on land, search and rescue exercise was carried out by the team of the 2nd Battalion, 6th infantry brigade of the AFBiH. The exercise showed a high degree of cooperation and the ability of the air and ground forces of the AFBiH to work together with civil services and agencies.
