Around 5 000 Participants on March of Peace-Srebrenica 2014

march of peace 2014This year, on the marking of 10th March of Peace – Srebrenica 2014, 5 000 participants started this morning from Nezuk near Sapna to Potocari in Srebrenica. The march is made in order to honor the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica in July 1995.

 

On Friday, 11th July, in the Memorial Center Srebrenica – Potocari the funeral will be performed. Namely, on the same day the burial of 175 victims of the Srebrenica genocide will be held.

In the peace march many citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe and around the world took participation.

 

It is planned that participants will pass about 100 kilometers in three days and the arrival in Potocari is planned for July 10. Each stage of the route counts  between 25 and 30 kilometers.

 

The participants will roam through Nezuk – Baljkovica – Parlog – Crni Vrh – Snagovo – Liplje – Jošanica – Donja Kamenica – Bakrači – Glodi – Udrč – Cerska – Kaldrmica – Đugum – Mravinjci – Burnice – Kameničko Brdo – Ravni Buljim – Jaglići – Šušnjari – Budak  and in the end arrive in Potočari.

 

The Chairman of the Subcommittee of Peace March of 2014,  Hamdija Fejzić said that the target of this campaign has been reached.

 

“It is a message of peace, tolerance and coexistence in the region, the message that you do not forget all those who died on this route, all those who have given their lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Fejzić.
