Yesterday, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) determined the proposal of the Crisis Staff on the introduction of new epidemiological measures from December 20th this year. The biggest change will be the possession of confirmation that the person has been vaccinated, recovered from Covid, or has tested negative (the so-called VPTrule).

The measures will, as it was pointed out, be introduced gradually.

According to the new proposal, all employees in the health, social sector, public administrations, governments, municipalities, will have to meet one of the three conditions of the VPT in order to be able to do their job.

If they do not meet the VPT, the employer will decide on the further work process.

By December 20th, the cantons will need to prepare all procedures in order to smoothly implement the new measures in the fight against coronavirus.

“Those who do not want to be vaccinated should be tested from their fund or have a certificate that they have recovered from Covid. With these conclusions, the Institute of Public Health is in charge of making expert guidelines regarding testing intervals when it comes to a PCR test or an antigen test, and if it is necessary to seek confirmation after vaccination, “ told Marina Bera, an assistant at the Federal Ministry of Health.

She said the measures would be introduced gradually.
