djeca_inkluzijaThe B&H Ministry of Human Rights, with the support of UNICEF in the project financed by the EU ‘Strengthening the System of Social Protection and Inclusion of Children in B&H’ will present on 24 March in Sarajevo the first report based on the guidelines for identification of socially excluded groups of children from B&H.

The project ‘Strengthening the System of Social Protection and Inclusion of Children in B&H’ (SPIS Program) is financed by the EU, and is implemented by UNICEF and governments at all levels.

The EU is financing this project since 2008 from the Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) in the amount of 4,1 million Euros, with the goal to help build a system that would ensure adequate political social protection and social protection and inclusion of children and their families.

The guidelines for identification of socially excluded groups from B&H have been prepared in order to establish a regular monitoring of the degree of social exclusion of children, especially in the work of improving the process of intersectoral cooperation and organizations responsible for the care of children in B&H.

One of the main reasons for the creation of this document were the current data on the phenomenon of social exclusion of children and the social reaction to this phenomenon in B&H.
