The National Football Team of BiH is playing the penultimate match in qualifiers for the World Cup 2018 against the selection of Belgium on October 7 in Sarajevo.
Goalkeeper of the national team of BiH Asmir Begovic believes that our team will have a difficult task against Belgium but he talks about the upcoming duel with optimism.
“I believe in our triumph, especially with our fans, who will be the wind in our backs. We play better on our field and I am optimistic about this match, which is the test of all tests for us. Belgium is one of the strongest teams in the world. They have a great choice of players, which is really outstanding. Lukaku, Fellaini, Mertens, they are all great in their teams and we just have to prove that we also have the quality to deal with the best players in the world and to try to achieve three points, with which we would enchant the whole nation, and primarily ourselves, because that victory would mean so much for us,” said Begovic.
This match will be played at the Grbavica Stadium, and Begovic believes that it will be a great substitute for “Bilino Polje” in Zenica.
“I am honestly looking forward to the match at Grbavica. Zenica has been home to our team for many years and we had a great time there and we are very excited to play there, and Grbavica should be a great substitute, and I believe that the audience will come in a great number because everyone knows how much this match means to us. Moreover, a large number of players from our team have started their career at Grbavica, as well as our selector Mehmed Bazdarevic, and I believe that they will have additional motive in this match because, after all, we are all aware what would those three points against Belgium mean, since they would bring us closer to the World Cup in Russia and this is also a great chance for our generation to achieve placement on the World Cup once again,” said Begovic for the official website of the Football Association of BiH.
