Association of Victims of Genocide requests Dismissal of Two Ministers

The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, with the support and of the Citizens’ Association of Victims of the War 1992-1995, “April 16” Ahmići, urged the High Representative for BiH Christian Schmidt to, as they stated, finally take a clear position on the verdicts of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and ban public gatherings and glorification of convicted war criminals.

In an open letter addressed to the HR, the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide notes that they have already sent several requests in which they demanded the dismissal of the President of the Federation of BiH Lidija Bradara and the Minister of Sports and Culture of the FBiH Sanja Vlaisavljević.

“Unfortunately, with your ambiguous statements, you have announced the continuation of the glorification of war crimes. Today, we are witnessing that convicted war criminals hold lectures, emphasize their role as peacemakers, belittle the victims, do not accept the judgments of the ICTY and present themselves as victims of a conspiracy,” stated this association in the letter to HR Christian Schmidt.
