ATP Challenger: Sarajevo as a tennis centre

Tennis Tournament BH Telecom Indoors 2013 has been announced on today’s press conference. The most significant tournament of this kind will be held in BiH from 9 to 17 March.

The award fund is 30 000 EUR and the competition is going to be the strongest so far.

Tennis players ranked from 79- 236 on the ATP Rank from 17 countries will participate at the tournament.

Manager of the tournament Senad Hadžimešić said at today’s press conference that this tournament will help development of BiH tennis.

Best ranked player is Blaž Kavčić from Slovenia, followed by Simon Greul from Germany, Adrian Mannarino from France, Dušan Lajović from Serbia, Dustin Brown from Germany etc.

BiH tennis player Damir Džumhur, Mirza Bašić and Tomislav Brkić will represent BiH.

In the last 10 year Sarajevo Challenger hosted some of the most famous tennis players of the world: Novak Đoković, Tomas Berdych, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Janko Tipsarević, Richard Gasquet, Ivo Karlović, Marin Ćilić, Ernest Gulbis, Greg Rusedsky, Robin Soderling etc.
