Austria: Bosnian returned a Stolen Bike to Politician

13350966_1779972272239449_1654676640_oUnlike our country where the ego and reputation of politicians is measured by official cars, in developed Europe politicians often go to work by bike.

And if we consider that the representatives of the parties pay attention to ecology, it is not surprising that politicians are emotionally attached to their two-wheelers, almost as their counterparts in BiH to their official Audi’s, BMW’s, Mercedes…

Astrid Rossler, the President of the Green Party in Salzburg (Austria), loved her green bike “almost like the eyes in her head”. On Saturday morning, she parked at the train station, locked the bike and went by train.

Unpleasant surprise was waiting for her when she came back in the evening. The bike was gone, stolen by the thieves who cut a security lock with pliers for metal.

Desperate Austrian politician immediately offered a prize on her Twitter account to the person who help her in finding a “distinctive green bike, with the label ‘Pedaling makes you happy’, 10,500 kilometers on the speedometer…”

The relief for Astrid Rossler came on Sunday evening. Police was contacted by a 28-year-old Bosnian, employee of a local betting shop, who explained that he bought the bike in good faith from some strangers.

Politician kept her promise and paid a reward to Bosnian, happy that she got her beloved bike back.
