The Austria Showcase “Engineering and metalworking” will be held today in Zenica, announced the trade department of the Austrian Embassy in B&H.
B&H and Austria are traditionally good economic partners. Austria ranks as the first investor among foreign investors in B&H with a total amount of more than one billion euros.
The trade exchange between the two countries has strongly developed since 2009. Austrian export increased from 278 million euro in 2009 to 344 million euros in 2012.
At the same time, B&H exports to Austria increased from 181 million euros in 2009 to 387 million euros in 2012.
Not only that is a 114 percent increase in exports from B&H in the period of four years , but B&H is the only country in South-East Europe that recorded a trade surplus with Austria for the second year in a row.
Austria Showcase is organized for the second year in the row. This year nine Austrian companies will participate. Five of them are looking for suppliers, partners or companies for joint realization of projects which on these bases, may draft the production of components for machines and plants.
