Austrian Embassy supported the Museum of War Childhood

museum2The National and University Library of BiH presented the cooperation of the Austrian Embassy in BiH and the Museum of War Childhood, and about the cooperation spoke Austrian Ambassador to BiH Martin Pammer and founder and director of the Museum of War Childhood, Jasminko Halilovic.

The Austrian Embassy has supported the Museum of War Childhood by buying TVs and creating pedestals that will be used in the permanent exhibition, whose opening is planned for December in Logavina Street.

Ambassador Pammer emphasized the importance of the Museum of War Childhood, saying: “I want to thank the Museum of War Childhood, which contributes to the promotion of peace in a time when many children in the world are experiencing growing up in the war conditions again. The Austrian Embassy has recognized the importance of this project, and it will support several other projects under marking the bilateral cooperation between the two countries”.

The founder of the Museum of War Childhood Jasminko Halilovic thanked the Austrian Embassy and Ambassador Pammer for supporting the establishment of a world unique museum.

He also stated that the Museum of War Childhood opened research cells in Mostar, Cazin, Lukavac and Banja Luka, and that it gets artifacts from these regions every day, which makes the collection of the future museum as the representative of the whole country.

The Museum of War Childhood, which was presented at several American and Canadian universities in the previous month, as well as in a large museum conference in Glasgow in the organization of the British Museum Association, will be opened in December at Logavina Street in Sarajevo.
