Austrian Investors Interested in Investing in Northern Part of BiH

The Ambassador of Austria to BiH Donatus Koeck said in Prnjavor that Austrian investors are interested in investing in the northern part of BIH and expressed hope that through its trading advisors they can influence the formation of this cooperation.

“Prnjavor is an interesting area and certainly has potential for the future”, said Koeck to journalists after the meeting with the mayor of the municipality Prnjavor Siniša Gatarić.

Koeck said that during the meeting they talked about the Diaspora, especially of people who are originally from Prnjavor, but live, work and go to school in Austria.

Mayor Gatarić noted that Prnjavor can provide to foreign investors the existing economic capacities, but also create conditions for the entry of foreign capital in this municipality.

‘’That would lead to the development of agriculture and tourism. The economic recovery of these areas is currently in crisis, such as Banja `Kulaši` and ‘Ergela’.

The geographical area between two mountains-Ljubica and Motajice are ideal for the development of hunting tourism, because that is where the river Ukrina is, the lake Drenova and the ponds for the development of fishing. We have something to offer, but it is necessary to have a transparent way of presentation’’, said Gatarić.
