dreddup-article-02On 19 April, citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to listen to band ‘dreDDup’ from Novi Sad with DJs of Belgrade DarkWave scene D.j. Elder and DJ- Dark Energy.

Their concert will be held in AG club at 9.30 p.m. in organisation of the Association ProAcademia and radio Rock The Balkans.

Music of dreDDup is a mixture of dark noisy sounds with rough industrial rhythm followed by metallic vocals. They are mostly influenced by post industrial music scene of the 1980s and the mid 1990s.

They have changed their sound since 1997 but were always within the industrial/post-industrial boundaries. After experimenting with weird noises and rough drum beats they embraced commercial segments in their sound, making it more popular for some wider range of listeners.

As their influences they list Borghesia, Bile, The Prodigy, The Stooges and Skinny Puppy. Today, they sound like a crossover of every genre they get in touch with.
