The goal of this project is to preserve domestic production of indigenous and domestic cheese, such as Livanjski, Vlasić and Herzegovinian cheese, with the appropriate standardization and certification, and for the producers to be familiar with the procedures to protect originality, geographic origin and traditional reputation of food in BIH.

The goal of the study was to assess the opportunities for converting a traditional cheese production into organic, as well as the opportunity for protecting marks of quality.

The study defined the specific recommendations for overcoming barriers to translating conventional to organic production, and producer organizations have been proposed that have the potential for modernization and commercialization of traditional organic products.
