”Banjalučanke” celebrate their 35th anniversary

Female chamber choir ‘‘Banjalučanke’’ will hold an anniversary concert on the 9th December in the Cultural Center ”Banki dvor”. They will mark 35 years of existence and good work of this chamber choir. With this concert, on the World Day of Choir Singing, the oldest and the most awarded choir group in Republika Srpska, in collaboration with the Association of artists ” Art Puls” will perform and mark this holiday.

The evidence of the great success of this choir in the last five years are the golden medals from music competitions in Linz, Venice and Malta. The ” Banjalučanke” choir also won the Olympic silver in China and USA. These last five years also mark the period when ”Banjalučanke” became known on the international level. The chamber choir can now hope to achieve more significant result in their carrier.

” The choir is officially on the ranking list of the 50 best chamber choirs of the world. ”Banjalučanke ” are on that list three years in a row, and it is important to stress that they are the best ranked choir from Southeast Europe.”- reminded Matović, conductor of the choir. This year, they mark 35 years of their work and the manifestation that they will organize is quite interestingly on the same day as the World Choir Olympiad in Cincinnati.
